ROB GREEN ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT FACEBOOK TWITTER Rob Green has decided to bring the curtain down on his career as a goalkeeper following the past season spent as a Chelsea player. The former England international, who earned 12 caps for his country, did not play a competitive fixture in his year as part of our squad but he provided important back-up and support to Kepa Arrizabalaga and Willy Caballero. Now 39 years old, Green came through the ranks at Norwich and was also at West Ham, QPR, Leeds and Huddersfield. On his retirement, Green issued the following statement: 'Following an incredible evening in Baku on Wednesday and after a 23 year career spanning three decades, I’ve decided that now is the right time to announce my retirement from professional football. Bekas pengurus Chelsea itu menggantikan Luciano Spalletti yang dipecat, semalam biarpun memberikan slot Liga Juara-Juara (UCL) dengan menduduki tangga keempat Serie A. Conte, 49, tidak memegang sebarang tugas sejak meninggalkan kelab Stamford Bridge itu sejak setahun lalu. Bekas pengurus Juventus itu dilaporkan akan menerima gaji sebanyak £8.8j (RM46 juta) setahun di San Siro. Bercakap mengenai peranan barunya, dia berkata: "Lembaran baru hidup saya bermula, saya benar-benar teruja.
